MASTERCLASS FOR ACTORS WHO WANT TO WORK INTERNATIONALLY with Nancy Bishop
I had the opportunity to participate in a casting masterclass with Nancy Bishop in Barcelona.During 3 days I learned new strategies for audition and playing on screen.It was a great experience for me and a lot of the tips she gave us I am using when I am preparing for an audition or when I am acting infront of a camara. I am very thankful to Nancy Bishop and also to Luci Lenox ( another great casting director) for doing masterclasses all around the world.They are supporting us and teaching us from their kindness and knowledges things that for them are just little tips and for us are precious advices that will help us to build strong careers in what we most love to do: ACTING.

I atended Nancy Bishop’s workshop during November 2014 at the Frank Stein Studio. My marketability as an actor has seen great improvements as a result of my participation in this course. During this period I learnt great effective marketing strategies to sell myself as an actress. I achieved this by studying what good presentation material is composed of and how to lead with value on social media using new technologies to promote my work. I was taught many different acting exercises that would allow me to develop a good audition technique in a very suited and positive environment. Nancy’s approach to the actors career also encouraged us to be creative by writing our own roles or creating original presentation material. Throughout, the course was very challenging and stimulating, not only due to the content but also thanks to Nancy’s innovative teaching skills.

Nancy’s exercises and improvisations were really useful in getting to the heart of what makes acting believable. Even though I was trained as an actor the simple set of questions you must answer helps you pay attention to what’s important in order to make the most of a film or TV casting, I found both the marketing tips and the advice on acting technique very useful, and enjoyed Nancy’s energy and directness. I left feeling more confident and equipped.
