Script-to-Screen Intensive

Step into the room with one of the most respected American casting directors. In this focused, one-day on-camera intensive, Deborah Aquila—whose career spans films such as Sex, Lies and VideotapePrimal FearLa La Land, and CODA, along with senior casting leadership at Paramount and CBS Studios—offers actors a technique-driven look at what truly makes a performance land.
This will be a one-day on-camera acting intensive where students will work on assigned scenes incorporating the techniques used at The Aquila Studio. We will focus on character development using the principles of script analysis, in the Adler tradition. Discussions will center on the text at hand, the theme (the big idea), and the practical application of the character’s emotional memory to help students create and deepen choices, especially with limited time to do so.

This is your opportunity to gain industry-level insight, understand what casting directors are looking for, and strengthen your performance—whether for live auditions or self-tapes. Don’t miss your chance to train with one of the leading professionals in the industry.
