Hal Masonberg

Hal Masonberg has over 30 years of experience in the Hollywood film industry, initially working as a casting session director for notable films like “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.” He has directed numerous auditions, taught acting workshops in Los Angeles, and served as a master acting teacher for California State University’s Summer Arts Program. His Hollywood career included roles from First Assistant Director to Script Supervisor, working with directors like Lasse Hallström and Spike Jonze, and actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio.

In addition to casting, Hal is a writer/director with projects for studios like Paramount Pictures and Disney. His film “Jazz Nights: A Confidential Journey” won an audience award at the Copenhagen Jazz Film Festival. Hal is also a celebrated live music photographer, contributing to major jazz festivals in Los Angeles and Barcelona.
